Bukit Doa : When in Doubt Climb The Hill

Since we have our 2nd born,  it is almost impossible for us having some journey or vocation.  My toddler (3,5yo) is so hyperactive, thanks God my husband's bussiness running great but that's make him busier than ever.  I am still having my maternity leave until December but all i do is just stick around the baby.

Even going for some window shopping to the near mall we couldn't make! 

Two weeks ago my mother in law came from Makassar with her relatives. They stayed in Manado for a week helping us prepared anything for our new born's aqiqah ceremony. 

In the end of their visit my husband decided to make some vocation. Brought his mother and the relatives too. When he asked about the place we should go,  i suggested Bukit Doa and Danau Linow.

Bukit Doa is located in Tomohon. It takes 45 mins to 60 mins to drive from Manado. To go to Tomohon city you can get public transportation from Manado.  But i wont suggest you to get public transportation to go to Bukit Doa.  Bukit Doa its self is not located at main road of Tomohon City while the public transportation just pass the main road so that you have to continue with 'ojek'. Bukit Doa is really great destination in North Sulawesi. You should put it to your bucket list right after Bunaken and Lihaga Island. 

Lihaga : Heaven on Earth

When Bunaken gives you under water view,  Lihaga delivers to you beautiful beach view, Bukit Doa will give you Mount Lokon view.  I couldn't shout my mouth up.  I keep yelling 'whooaaah... Whoaaahhh'. 

The are two ways go to the hill. First, You can walk through the stairway called Jalan Salib (Cross Road) .  You can enjoy the story about Jesus. There are many statues picturing the sacrifice of Jesus.

Second,  you just simply drive to the hill and enjoy the scenery with only IDR 30K / pax include a cup of coffee or tea.
